After six days, 746 eliminations and a heads-up battle that lasted over two hours, Gus Hansen was declared the 2007 Aussie Millions Main Event Champion, winning (Aus) $1.5 million! He was presented his winning cheque by Howard Lederer.
After receiving his cheque, Gus, who is from Denmark had this to say; "I don't know how much that money is. I use a different currency, this is my first time to Australia and you can say this has been a pleasant week."
