Online Poker Tips for Women By Fiona Woods

Ha, I hear you say, I can take on the boys anytime....Who needs online poker tips when it's obvious that men don't have our capacity to bluff, keep a poker face, psych them out and generally bamboozle them when we really, really want to!!
Laughs aside, ladies, online poker is a game to respect, being as it is an unpredictable combination of skill and luck (in that order). Take the words of wisdom of one of the world's greatest women poker players, Annie Duke. Described as the best all-around woman poker player in the world today, Annie Duke is a mother of three with a very successful poker career, having earned almost $400,000 in one World Series of Poker.
She says that money management is one of the most important skills to learn in poker:
"if you only have a bankroll of $1000 then playing $20/$40 is a terrible idea as you can go broke in one play. Taking your poker bankroll and playing pit games such as craps where skill does not count is obviously poor money management. But what do I mean by the last example. Shouldn't you sometimes jump into a game that is higher than you generally play if the game is great? No!"
In other words, don't bite off more than you can chew!
Another good tip in online poker games is to make sure that you read the games terms and conditions about their promotions. This will ensure that you know what's up as you are playing. Good poker games should have a Rules section, where you can read about individual games. One site I've found that has clear Rules, Bonuses, and Terms and Conditions is Poker Plex (www.pokerplex.com). It also has an enjoyable playing environment that is quite different from the usual green or red tables.
Good Luck, and check back often for more online poker tips.
