It's Your Life. By Nancy Hobbs

After a particularly long day, or a piece of bad news, it can help a lot to remember some of these motivational quotes from some great human beings.
What everyone is looking for is a chance to prove they can achieve their dreams, whatever they may be. But what does it take to achieve things these days? Sometimes it seems that you need to be some kind of genius to get anywhere, but that's not reality. The people who get somewhere are those who are prepared to stick it out, no matter what. Here's what Calvin Coolidge had to say:
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, 'Press on,' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race". (Calvin Coolidge.)
Once you've decided to stick it out and that nothing will get in your way, you can go one better and live each day in the present. Here's what Mary Manin Morrissey, a well-known author, has to say:
"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" (Mary Manin Morrissey.)
And the next step to truly living, and not just making a living? Make each day an adventure, and regain the energy and hope of a child. As the organizer of Canada's first successful expedition to the summit of Mt. Everest, John Amatt, said:
"Adventure isn't hanging on a rope off the side of a mountain. Adventure is an attitude that we must apply to the day to day obstacles of life -- facing new challenges, seizing new opportunities, testing our resources against the unknown and in the process, discovering our own unique potential."
Remember that the secret of success isn't really a secret....it's three clear concepts;
1.Be persistent.
2.Learn to live in the present.
3.Live each day as an adventure.
